The Bemidji Curling Club is celebrating its 80th anniversary and in its 80 years has hosted numerous, state, regional, and national championships and we’re confident you’ll find the 2018 National U18 Championships a well-run and enjoyable experience for players, coaches, and fans. Welcome to Bemidji, “The First City on the Mississippi.”

Last Minute Announcements

We will use this section to notify you of any last-minute announcements or changes that may happen before the event starts.

*02/15/18 - A few new notes from our organizing committee...
- Team Jackets/Uniforms are required for the Opening Ceremony, but the Banquet is informal/no fancy clothes.
- The mandatory team meeting, opening ceremony and banquet are all at the host hotel, the Hampton Inn & Suites.

*02/08/18 - USCA just submitted a revised draw sheet to us. The information below is now the NEW draw schedule. Please download a copy to replace the old one.

*01/23/18 - We will need all teams dressed and ready for team introductions at the opening ceremony, which will start promptly at 7:00 pm at the Hampton. This will be prior to the banquet which will start at around 7:30 pm. This will not leave you much time after the rules meeting.

Hotel Information

Our host hotels for the event are the Hampton Inn & Suites / DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bemidji. These hotels are connected and on the south shore of Lake Bemidji and only three miles from the curling club. Both hotels are connected to the Green Mill Restaurant as well as convenient to downtown Bemidji.

When making reservations make sure to ask for the block of rooms set aside for the U18 Championships to get the special room rate of $149.00 per night for a double queen room. Please call 218-751-3600 to reserve your rooms.

The Hampton Inn is the location for the Rules Meeting and Opening Banquet on Wednesday as well as a Hospitality Room on the Fifth Floor Board Room sponsored by Coca-Cola with free Wi-Fi, web streaming of the event, broadcast of the Olympics, and snacks and drinks.

 

Transportation

A shuttle service is available to pick up and drop off folks arriving at the Bemidji Regional Airport. Please contact Pete Harrison if you are arriving by plane and which flight you will be coming in on. Email Pete at pjharrison9@hotmail.com. There will also be a shuttle between the host hotel and the curling club throughout the event.
